According to this article: The FJ is supposed to go on sale in North America, reaching dealers worldwide next year, and we doubt it’ll borrow the Hilux’s platform. It’ll also likely have upgraded powertrain choices in the US market, which will likely include gas and hybrid options.

Curious what vehicle everyone's in. Always interesting to see where new vehicles are drawing interest from in terms of other brands/models. I'm in a 2014 Tacoma which I bought used 6 years ago. I've always loved the FJ Cruiser so a modern version definitely interests me.

I'm hoping the non-hybrid gas engine is the iForce 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder from the Tacoma / 4Runner. Test drove the new 4Runner with it and it performed great I thought.

Thanks for the previews! Should be accurate since based they're based on the patent drawings. I like this one that looks like Heritage Blue color on the new 4runners.
